Affects Solid World followup

Does your prior answer imply that a Desolidified character with Affects Solid World on Str or TK couldn't pull the trigger of a gun, or pull a firing pin on a grenade, or flick a switch that activates a weapon?

It doesn't imply anything. It states outright that he can't perform such actions as an attack against solid targets. This is in no significant way different from pulling the pin on a Desolidified grenade and dropping it with the intent that it become solid and injure solid characters, a situation specifically declared illegal in the rulebook.
