I read the section on Skills as Powers, but what if you want just a flat bonus to the Skill roll? Frex: I'm porting an ability over from another game. This ability makes it easier for others to stabilize you when you are dying. So far I have...
+1 to Paramedics roll
Useable by Other +1/4
Costs 0 END +1/2,
Active points: 4
Only to stabilize the character when at 0 BODY or below, -2.
Total Cost: 1
Now, I know I need some sort of Persistent or Uncontrolled adder so the character can still get the bonus when unconscious, but I'm not sure how that would work with skills... still learning here.
Thanks

Treat it like any other power and give it the Persistent Advantage.

So...
+1 to Paramedics roll
Useable by Other +1/4
Costs 0 END +1/2
Persistant +1/2
Active points: 5
Only to stabilize the character when at 0 BODY or below, -2.
Total Cost: 2
And that means that if the character is 0 or below BODY, regardless of consciousness, anyone aiding the character will gain +1 to their Paramedic roll?

EDIT: Oh! Nevermind. I missed the, "makes it easier for others to stabilize you," part. :doi:

I think it works with the addition of Persistent. It seems the owning character could also use it if above 0 Stun.

What are you using for the base Power, a 2 point +1 to the skill, or Skill Levels? It looks like the base cost you are using is 2. While I somewhat disagree with it, the rules do state that when adding modifiers to Skill Levels, the level must be at least a 5 point level.
Other than that, you might consider Trigger (when someone attempts to use Paremedics on the character) instead of Persistant.

How about instead buy BODY with a custom limitation? Something like "Only to make it easier to stabilize (-2)".

Hmm. Since the Paramedics roll is based upon the subject's current negative Body, that is an excellent idea! (Rep)
