Howdy,

In Pulp hero there are a couple of characters with weird skill groups; I am referring to Dr Emil Locke (p397) and Dr Jennings Petrie (p401). They both have some skills listed so:

3 Traveler
1 1) AK: Africa 11-
1 2) AK: China 11-
1 3) AK: Europe 11-
1 4) AK: India 11-
..
..
..
1 18) CuK: South/Central American Indians Culture 11-

(Dr Petrie has similar, except it's named Scientist, has a base cost of 3, and costs 2 per "slot" which gives him a 13- roll)

This looks, to me, like it's an Elemental Control, except:

a) it's not identfied as such
b) it has skills not powers in it
c) the slots have less base points than the base cost

How does this structure work? I am trying to make a Professor-type and a break on the huge number of KS and SS's I need would be great...

Cheers,
Viperion

Look at p.77, 5thER under "Skill Enhancers".

Aaaaah, it all becomes clear. Thank you! I was looking at the intro to the skills chapter, not the last section. :D

Cheers,

It's always fun when someone comes along and answers a question before I see it. ;)

We're a helpful community. Almost heroic. ;)

FWIW, the Hero Designer (https://secure.compnetco.com/herogames/browse.jsp?categoryID=2) program has intelligence enough to group Enhanced Skills under the Skill Enhancers in exactly that way.

I can't wait for version 3.
