I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but I'm guessing that someone might know how to do this.

It may just be a case of trying to do something in HD that you can do in Creator, but can't do in HD.

In Creator, I could create a list of powers to represent Future Powers for the character and disable the list. This meant the list of powers was still there, but none of the powers added to anything else on the character and the point cost of powers on the list weren't added to the cost of the character.

Another thing you could do in Creator is create a list as a Package and manually set the cost to the character regardless of the actual cost of the powers in the list.

I'd like to do the first in HD. Failing that, if I could do the second, it would get me by. Am I asking too much for version 1.44? I've searched through the documentation, and I can't find anything that really fits what I'm trying to do. I couldn't find any previous topics that fit either.

HD is designed to follow the rules as detailed in FREd. Neither of those are legal/part of the rules.

If you want a list of "future powers" that don't figure into the cost, then use the Equipment tab. If the equipment tab isn't available, you can create a custom template with a very simple edit which will enable it.

Package Deals are not a part of the 5th Ed. Rules and are not supported by HD.

That said, you can assign a Custom Adder to a List to deduct (or add) points to the total as necessary.

Thanks, Dan.

Actually, Package Deals are in FReD. I just hadn't realized that they'd changed them to remove the concept of packages overriding the Point costs. FReD's packages make you pay full points for the powers but provide stock Disads to defray the costs.
