Has anyone else seen this yet? It makes me go "ooohhh, ahhhh...":D So, is this the official cover to the Reality Storm book?

It's the artwork, yeah. I don't believe there were any logos or writing or the like with it, so it's not the "final cover," but it's the piece of art we'll be using.

I thought this was pretty cool. They even had writeups of The Incredible Hulk in SAS, Champs (a rather convincing write-up, at that, even though they didn't include a write-up of his Bruce Banner form), M&M, and the new Marvel Universe game.

Pretty Nifty.

link please?

We didn't include the Banner form because we only had a single page to work with. Hell, we couldn't even include the complete Hulk write-up; we had to trim it to fit it on one page.

I have not seen it yet, what was the issue number?

Also was this Hulk off something Marvel did to help promote the movie? Just curious, as I know Steve has mentioned in the past some stickieness in doing anything with other companies characters...

The Hulkathon was organized by Alliance as a cute little promo with the permission of Marvel, and we were invited to participate. As a Hulk fan from way back, I was happy to take a swipe at an old favorite. When my own damn copies of the magazine finally show up, I'll be very interested to see how SAS and M&M treated the big guy. dw

You know, I must add my OOOH...AHHH to the mix.

If you squint real hard (or buy microscopic vision) you can see the cover here.

That's a classic cross-universe cover layout - very comic-book (that's meant as praise BTW). I like how the "opposing" heroes are paired off as they were during the Super Hero Showdown, except for Sapphire and Slipstream, of course.

May I ask who the artist is? If that's been mentioned somewhere before, I must have missed it. :o

I just about had an accident in my shorts when I saw this in my GTM. Any chance of seeing the complete version of the Champions Hulk?

No, I'm afraid not. All those writeups were published with the permission and cooperation of Marvel Comics; we don't have the right to publish other versions, here or elsewhere.

Let me ask this question (legal loophole question):

You can't publish the write-up (I totally get that part).

Can you publish the cutting room floor?

Steve Long

No. As far as I'm concerned, it's all part and parcel of the same thing.

Fair enough.

Thou are the one with the law degree.

I art the one with the criminal justice degree.

Never the twain shall meet. :D

Does it look like they might continue this idea for the future Marvel movie releases?

Haven't the faintest idea, I'm afraid. AFAIK this was a one-time thing. All I can say for sure is that no one has yet asked us to participate in anything similar.

I was able to get a copy from my FLAG. It was really interesting to see the Champions write up next to other Super games. The differences in the systems and such was quite nice to be able to see.

Hey Steve did someone from Hero do the write up? I thought it was a very well done writeup.

Darren Watts (currently off at Origins) was the author of the Hulk writeup for Champions / Hero.

The Champions board had a really long thread on the subject, initiated by an editor from Game Trade. he seemed to think it was one of their best promotions ever, but wasn't sure when they might do such a thing again.
