Insanely early, I know, but is anyone planning to attend this year?

As usual I'm vaguely considering it, but the odds are agin' it.

Hmmm.... if it'll help, you can count on having a dinner-bribe at least once courtesy of the wife and me.

Oh, definitely!
Dan & Karen are still roomie-shopping - we could always swap them Debbie and take Steve.... (Assuming he doesn't snore worse than you do. If such a thing is possible.)

And this year, you won't have a deadline that Friday night. Trust me on that one.

My husband and I will be there, thanks to a friend buying us tickets and hotel costs for Christmas this year. It looks like we'll be arriving Thursday.

Well, offers of bribes for me are always worth considering in the overall equation. ;)

Oh! Josh and I can buy you dinner . . . um . . . Sunday night!
One of the nights you'll need feeding, anyway.

My Crew and I will be there
So there is another night you can plan on dinner or at least lunch.
Hey Alice, are we still planning to game one night??

Yeah, if we can. We're still meeting that Friday, right? Or will you be there Thursday?

Well, we're up to splitting a room with you and feeding you at least once, Steve (and the other offers of dinner-bribes seem to be rolling in) - let us know if the bribe needs to be bigger!

*dangles the prospect of playing in a Josh-run game under Steve's nose*
Actually, I have no idea if you'd like Josh's style, but I'm not the only one who's said, to his face, even, that he's an awesome GM. He's talking about running some Valdorian Age, and he's definitely in his element in any kind of fantasy genre.

I am, much to many peoples' surprise I think, actually pretty easy to run for. Or at least I try to be. And if someone's going to take the time to run a game for me, I usually appreciate it and enjoy it, if not thoroughly then at least on some level. After all, GMing is work, and at the very least I have to respect that someone's trying to help me have fun. ;)

LOL. Thanx, I appreciate it. As usual, it's most likely to come down to whether I can balance taking several days off versus the production schedule and various other real-life distractions that are most likely to occur during the fall. As the man said, we shall see. ;)

Either way, I win. ^ v ^
('Cause if you don't come, then I don't hafta shell out the cost for dinner, you see . . .)

Oh, and Thag, you wanted pics (http://alicetheowl.googlepages.com/thehappilymarriedcouple) for reference, right?
Those should help.

I know I seen you folks at DragonCon last year,
I am thinking the dealers room and the gaming area.
later today I ll find a photo and post it.
We are showing up Thursday late afternoon early evening.
I am betting we could get a game in then or at least meet at the lobby or somewhere to chat.
Its not like we have 13o some odd days to plan.
And Mr Long,
My gang would love to treat you to lunch or dinner or both.
I hope you can make it.

Probably not in the gaming area, but I did hang out in the dealer's room quite a bit, especially on Monday.
So a meet-up on Thursday evening? Works for me. Now we just need a time and a place.
We're staying about 3 blocks away from the con itself, so I'll need very specific instructions about where to meet. I got Josh owl and squirrel finger puppets for his Christmas stocking last year, so we'll probably be utilizing those as accessories to help differentiate us.

All those free meals, Steve's going to have to pay for two seats on the plane home.

We have plenty of time to plan, but for now
I figure we could meet at the Hyatt in the lobby bar by the escalators.
I am easy to find as I am the really big buy wearing a black t shirt.
   :p :D :doi:
seriously, I'll be on my Dice shirt or something very easy to spot me in.
And my mug is hard to miss.

Okay. I should be able to find that. ^ v ^
And if we're meeting on Thursday, it won't be as crowded as it was on Saturday last year. That was just . . . whoa.

Three Firefly cast members are confirmed for Dragon*Con! Wheee!
You know what that means, though; crowds even worse than last year's.

I want to go. I haven't been able to attend since 2003. :sigh:
I have an Eternal Membership, so that isn't a problem, but paying for the hotel has been a problem the last couple years.
This year I have the added problem of time off from work. I'm hoping to be starting a new job before August, and won't have enough vacation time accrued to cover a decent trip.
