I love this really weird show on the SFC called "Lexx" and was wondering if anyone had ever done a game based on it.

I helped a friend write a fantasy/D&D style campaign based on lexx. If any fantasy setting gamers are looking for a potential camnpaign, I'll give an outline and I'm sure lexx fhans will see the resembelance:

Long long ago, humans, dwarves and elves lived under the terrible shadow of dragonkind, who dominated the world. Eventually the three races worked together to create great machines to defeat the dragons. Huge iron golems, armed with cannon that fired blackpowder shells made to pierce a dragon's hide and explode within, killing the beast.

After a long, terrible war dragonkind was exterminated, all save queen tiamat, who was terribly wounded by a cannon round but survived, as did her eggs in her lair. Horribly wounded, she returned to her lair and cast a great spell upon herself to put her body into suspended animation, stopping her death as well as putting her eggs into stasis as well.

A cunning and daring theif entered tiamat's lair, and queen tiamat forced her essence into the thief, taking possession of him and imbuding him with her awesome power.

For centuries, the essence of tiamat slowly worked to bring about the ruin of the bipeds civillization and pave the way for the return of dragon kind. Tiamat turned the thieves body into the first vampire, then entered into a new host. Time passed, and vampirism spread thruout the world. Under the spell tiamat wove to create them, each time a vampire took a victim, a tiny spark of the life enrgy stolen transferred to tiamat's essence, which transferred to a new host each time the old one wore out.

Vampirism became a terrible scourge, and eventually tiamat laid the foundation for a new power bloc, the Divine Order, to 'protect' people from vampirism. Terrified, people flocked to the divine order, and in time it came to dominate thw world.

Dragons passed into legend, and were forgotten. The skill of making gunpowder and golems was declared heretical by the divine order, who claimed vampirism was a scourge from god for creating such abominations.

The divine order cominated the world, using the fear of vampires to keep control by claiming to be the onl;y hope agains them.

Meanwhile, tiamat's essence grew stronger. She eventually, after millennia of passing from human host to human host, and calling herself "His divine shadow", leader of the divine order, had amassed nearly enough power to heal her horrible wounded physical body and release it from stasis.

In the meantime, a weapon would need to be constructed to crush the bipends who had all but exterminated dragonkind millennia ago.

The divine order began building a great dragon golem of vast size and power, spending centuries on the project. it was said the great golem would burn the plague of vampirism from thre world and blow it's ashed away with it's massive wings.

The dragon golem, called the Lexx, was in fact meant to destroy all biped civillization and clear the way for dragons to return to dominance.

The lexx was a huge, huge metal dragon golem, with a fire breath blast that could destroy an entire village in one shot.

Well, the players end up in control of the lexx and finding out some of the truth. Can they overcome the divne order and the vampires, who both actually serve the same master without knowing it?

The campaign ended with a huge battle between the lexx and tiamat resurrected, both were destroyed but, were ALL of tiamat's eggs destroyed as well?

I was wondering if anyone else had done any gaming based on Lexx.

Nope, can't say that I have.

I can, however, sing the extended version of the fight song of the Brunnen-G,
as well as most of the songs from Brigadoom (The musical history of Kai episode)

I just wish I could get that version of "Yo Way Yo" that kai was singing in the bar in "the rock" as a full song without any background noise. I loved that.

That was about the only cool thing to come out of Lexx, IMHO. (sorry)
The Nova Scotia version was my favorite, but I'm a big Stan Rogers fan.

If you liked "Brigadoom" you might like the movie Zardoz, about another group of immortals who couldn't wait to die.
