So I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to make a good fencer. I'm also wondering making him a two-weapon fighter with a rapier and a main-gauche to disarm/block.
Here's his file.
It's supposed to be semi-realistic, lemme know if my tactics are off or whatnot. what with the block with two-weapon fighting rule and the 1/2 dcv mixed with my martial arts.

You've got the rough basics fair enough.

You are missing out on a number of movement based attacks. Do you have a copy of UMA? The fencing section is fairly well written and complete.

A stiletto is much too small and weak for a secondary weapon. A stiletto is a very narrow and thing stabbing dagger. You are going to want something a little more meaty for a secondary.

Unfortunately my friend is the only one with a copy of UMA
I had a fire and well you can deduce what happened to all of my books.
But My hard drive was salvagable and Hero Designer survived. Anyway I wanted a main gauche for a secondary weapon, but I can't remember how it's built, also let me know if the rapier is built correctly. (As for the stiletto, I wanted a dagger/blade that could "slip between armor" but didn't do much damage. Also, I was wondering if you had to make the extra two-wep fighting attacks with your other weapon, a friend told me that that's just for flavor or something)

You need to remember that fencing is all about point control. Your weapons should never be doing more than about 1.5d6K damage. All the pain and damage comes from hitting a specific hit location. Your guy should have a number of PSLs for Hit Locations.

A Main-Gouche has two main purposes, to defend and attack. Build it as your standard multi-purpose weapon MP:

Main-Gouche:
u Blade: 1/2 d6 HKA
u Hilt & Basket: +2d6 HA PLUS 3rPD Armour (Hand Only)

You now have a weapon that can be used to block, bash (or strike) with the hilt and still cut and stab with the blade.

The rapier is just going to be a 1d6 or 1.5d6 HKA.

You will need appropriate limitations on all that (OAF and such).

TwoWeapon fighting is rather hotly debated. I would sit down and talk to your GM about if he/she will even allow TWF before going much further. Have a good read through that section of the book and make sure that you guys can agree on how it works and then build around that.

Well I would have more psl's but the GM is only allowing none-2 depending on the concept. I thought there was some kind of power I could build into it to reflect the "blade breaker" or the "disarming dagger".

The Stiletto could be built like this:

1 pip HKA, Pen, add AP if it fits into campaign genre.

Two Weapon Fighting only becomes great if it is combined with Rapid Attack.

Well, your best bet here is to have a Fencing Tricks multipower.
Blade breaking would be 7d6 Dispel vs. HKA 21 active, 0 range (-1/2), OIF (weapon of opp.) (-1/2), gestures (-1/4), only vs. OAFs (-1/2) 7pts

Alternately, I do believe that there is a manuever in the UMA that you can use.

If you can get a copy of Ninja Hero there's a good writeup for a classic fencer in there.

What about a Fencing Power Skill or something similar? This could be used to swing from chandeliers, jump onto passing ships, climb trelleses (sp?) into the bedchambers of an impressionable maiden and break swords!

All on a limited basis of course and in line with the caveats of the Power Skill Credo: "Do it once, points on me. Do it twice, points on you"

In the Free Stuff section of this website, they have some prefabs in the v1 and v2 sections of HD. I still use them all the time, and this (http://www.herogames.com/FreeStuff/HeroDesignerV2/prefabs/Gear.zip) one has most of the weapons you'd ever want, including a maine gauche

My HeroDesigner doesn't work. Is he building weapons as powers for this character or just looking for cool toys?
