View Full Version : Valdorian Age world map (dear Mr Curtis...)

I am starting a VA campaign soon and it occurred to me that it would be rather nice to have a colour printout of the VA map to put on the table (especially when I am trying to grab some new players at the beginning of the next academic year)

The colour TA map I printed out from the colour bitmap that the 'map maestro' very kindly put in the 'free stuff' section of the website was rather effective at attracting attention last year (as the students were used to flashy colour RPG books like The Game That Should Not Be Named, a nice bright colour map piqued their interest).

Therefore, I humbly beseech the master of all things cartographic to please, please, please (grovel, bow, scrape...) put a colour bitmap of Il-Ryveras on the website - I know it does not have the aspect ratio to make good desktop wallpaper, but it should look rather spiffy when printed in colour.

Anyone else interested in this should join me in my quest

Thanks for thinking of me guys, but seriously, I am swamped with stuff to do, and probably shouldn't even be taking time to cruise the Hero Boards. With Hero Games' permission, I can post a grayscale copy of the map in fairly high resolution, but I honestly don't have time to colorize it (it was painted in grayscale).

Greyscale would be perfectly fine and dandy :D .

Thanks for answering so quickly, given your recent move etc., etc.,

If Keith sends us the map, we can have Ben put it on the Free Stuff page as soon as he has a second. ;)

I recently (this week) picked up TA, and the maps are fantastic. Mr. Curtis makes some of the best looking maps I have ever seen. I downloaded the 1600x1200 map of Ambrethel and printed it out - looks great. I would love to be able to print out the other maps in the book, but they are not available.

What's the possibility of this being done? I would pay money for a PDF download that included all of the maps, especially if it were possible to get a higher resolution version of the Ambrethel map if that's possible.

Mr. Curtis makes some of the best looking maps I have ever seen.Maybe. But, personally, I prefer my maps of the U.S. to have only one Indiana.

It had to be done, in order to fill the gap left by West Central Illinois.

PS. Thanks, Phooks. If you want such a project, badger Darren or Steve about it.

I just sent a fresh copy to Ben two days ago. Now that he's back in the saddle, I hope the map will be up and available soon.
