I'm trying to figure out how to get my character sheets to export in PDF form. On the information page on your website you say :

"Hero Designer comes with export templates using HTML, plain text, RTF, and PDF, and lets you design your own templates for any text-based format.Using pre-defined "tags," you can tell Hero Designer how to arrange the character sheet just the way you want it!"

I only seem to get the:
Html Barebone
HTML champions 2 column
HTML champions 3 column
HTML champions 3 column compressed
HTML default character sheet
HTML hero 3 column
HTML hero boards
HTML okay I think you get the drift...

there is also a single Rtf format, and a text format one...

but no PDF.

I even went to try and download more at the "get new export templates" part of the site and all I saw there were the ones I already had.. a few more HTML ones and Excel version.

I like the PDF format of the
"Character Sheet - From Hero System 5th Edition - 48.3 kb PDF download"
at the bottom of the page at:
http://www.herogames.com/FreeStuff/csheets.htm
So I was looking for something like that.. but the templates I have currently don't look like that and are not in PDF format.

can anyone help a Brotha out....

Errr...I'm not quite sure where you saw that blurb on HD. To my knowledge, no one has created a PDF export template yet (though I believe it can be done with HD's current export capabilities).

The Online Store says this about HD's export functionality:
<blockquote>
Hero Designer comes with export templates using HTML and plain text and lets you design your own templates for any text-based format.
Using pre-defined "tags", you can tell Hero Designer how to arrange the character sheet just the way you want it!</blockquote>

There are quite a few RTF and HTML templates available as well as several plain text formats.

If there's a particular style that you'd like that is not currently available, post a request for it an one of the export gurus here may just help you out ;-)

You can also choose to print to a PDF file capture instead of your printer. This creates a PDF of whatever would have been printed. Just select the appropraite HTML template. Select print from IE drop down file menu (this is important don't just click the printer icon). In the print dialog box change your destination printer to PDF. And there you go. Just remember to change your destination printer back to a real printer later or you will end up sending everything to PDF. I hope this helps.

I just checked, yup he copied it directly from the Hero info page, but not the store page.

I'll talk to Ben and have him change that page out. The store's description is correct (as is the CD jacket for those that purchase HD at FLGS)

I've changed it to be consistent with the facts. :)
