Champions Showdown IV---Arcane Arts

Okay round Four, and same as before: Do to an interdimensional crisis heroes from four worlds must battle, in four way battles to determine who are the greatest Champions of all times, LET THE BATTLE BEGIN, The battle of the Arcane arts has begun.

Rose of the Guardians: A reincarnated powerfull prehistoric Sorceres with an innate understanding of magic and strong Psi abilities

Solitaire of the OCU: Trained to be an assasin mage by an evil occult organisation, she turned against her masters and the only life she had ever known, and became a true force for good

Solitaire of the CNM: Trained by the council to be the public hero of magic, her mastery of the arcane arts can not be underestimated

Witchcraft of the NCU: Trained by her parents to be an evil witch, she rebelled and became a nice person. After using her powers to help a couple of people she found she enjoyed it and became a hero.

I always liked Rose and kept hoping when hero included Marksman that she would pop up again somewhere. But then given my choice in usernames I have some odd hero tastes.

Are you one of my ex champions players? The Silver Age team I had designed for the campaign had a character called Witchfire in it.

Three possible reasons come to mind:
1. There is an error in Sapphire's Personality/Motivation section where Witchcraft is mistakenly called Witchfire; Last sentence in that section if I recall.
2. Witchcraft's quote is "The powers of Bright-Moon and Witchfire are mine to command. Back, foul creature, or feel their touch."
3. You just like Witchfire better as a name :)

Umm Actualy, yes I do, we have a winner on the why I think...

Ohh, and I did not say it, but as in the other three polls, all characters are assumed to be at a 350 point 5th edition level

I just keep voting for the old originals. All of the others have felt like characters designed to be Iconic. They lack flavor and style as far as I am concerned. The old Guardians have always felt more real to me, more like someone could actually sit down and play them (funny that seeing as how they were actual players' characters :) ). And I think that gives them the edge. Pit a player's charcter against a GM designed rough equivalent and the player will walk away victorious 80-90% of the time.

So Rose takes it as far as I am concerned.

Alright, as much as I like Rose. Solitaire will always have a place in my heart. Witchcraft isn't bad, Solitaire NM isn't much of anything, but Elaine...*sigh*.

MY GOD this one is close, in a 24 hour period and not only do we have 37 votes (most of these had about 45 after a week) but hey are almost evenly divided among three of the combatants, this one is going to be close

I voted for the OCU Solitaire. Admittedly, because I don't have any stats for the others and I don't even know the backgrounds on Rose or Witchcraft. The whole New Millenium thing had only one thing that I liked, and that was Destroyer as an ancient demigod-like being. Funny, I seem to recall arguing in its favor once upon a time. I went through it recently and was not very impressed. So unimpressed that I tossed the whole New Millenium book.
