Uncontrolled on a continuing charge

This is a big question: How long is the duration of an uncontrolled, continuous power for a continuing charge... or does the "continuous" advantage become redundant when using continuing charges?

Since a Continuing Charge functions in many ways like an Uncontrolled power (the rulebook even uses similar language to describe some aspects of both Modifiers), in general I see little, if any, need to make such a power Uncontrolled. If a character wants to do so anyway, the duration of the power is defined by the length of the Continuing Charge, and the character must feed the power enough END to keep it functioning for that amount of time. If he's unable to do so, the power fails to work.
