Just wanted to give y'all the latest news -- The Spacer's Toolkit is shipping today from our printer in California. So, look for it to show up at your FLGS in about 7-10 days, typically.

From what I hear, this book ROCKS! The writing may be mediocre, but the art is FANTASTIC! :)

I'm picking a couple copies up on my way to my bachelor party in South Lake Tahoe so I can show it off to all of my friends... thye probably won't get it, but that's not what's important. What's important is that IT'S FINALLY HERE!

Not that I've been waiting for it or anything. ;)

Don't sell yourself short man. From the little bits I've read it was really good. Can't wait to get my copy either.

Congratulations on becoming a published game author, Ben!

Did you ever imagine that this was in your future when you took that job with Cybergames two years ago?

Actually, I took the job with Cybergames 4 years ago, in October of 1999, and no, I had NO CLUE that this is where I would end up. Even when I transferred from Cybergames to Hero Games I figured I'd just do web stuff and order fulfillment and the like. But then Steve and Darren needed someone to write Toolkit, and preferably someone they didn't have to pay any freelancing fees. :P So there I was with a background of science fiction writing in my spare time and I seemed to be the perfect candidate...

And now... wow. :)

Ben, I just don't know what to say... I consider myself a dedicated Herophile and gamer extrodinaire :D

But I would not even consider stopping to buy Hero books on my way to my batchelors party.....to show off!!!

WOW! :p

PS: Of course when I got married Gutenberg was still an incompetent normal and had not yet invented the printing press....And Hero games was still a distant dream...

Ben's first book? Wow.

I'll go to FRP Games now and pre-order.

Call it my little kickback for all the nice moderation (and for adding my sites to the HERO Links section... ;)

Congrats Ben!

I know I am looking forward to the ST. Does it come with cool velcro fasteners on the death rays?
