Hi all

I'm trying to convert the D20 racial trait "Aversion to sunlight" into Hero System. This is essentially a -1 to skill rolls in daylight.

Is this ok?

Aversion to sunlight: Skill Levels -1 Overall Levels (-10 Active Points); Limited Power: Only in daylight (-1/4) [-8 points]

Are negative skill levels allowed as a disadvantage?

I'd buy it as a Disadvantage.

Physical Limitation: Frequent, Slight (10 points).

A -1 to combat I consider to be slight. The effects are only due to sunlight which I'd call frequent, but if the orcs almost never venture forth into the sunlight, and therefore it becomes Infrequent that they suffer the penalty then you'd have to call it Infrequent, Slight (5 points).

There are write-ups for Hobgoblins (with a bad sunlight aversion) in the Hero Bestiary (I think it's currently out of stock). There is also an Orc write-up in the Fantasy Hero Book.

Both have a Psychological Limitations against sunlight and the Hobgoblin has a Physical Limitation giving him a -2 to all PER rolls when in bright light.
