Are there any HERO gamers in Central Minnesota? I live in the fair city (dare I say hamlet?) of Glencoe and am looking for players for a Fantasy HERO game.

My e-mail doesn't work too well, but post here and I will attempt to get ahold of you.

How about on the western side of the Twin Cities?

Anyone?

Is this thing on?

Hello,

Yes, this is on. I am not into FH, but like the Hero system for Champions and agent level games. I tried unsuccessfully to get either type of game going when I relocated to the Minneapolis area last year from New England. Seems people here aren't gamers, or aren't into the Hero system at least (maybe D20??).

Good luck in your search...

There is a store (I don't know if I can plug one here, but I will anyway) called the Source. I believe it is in St. Paul, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it. Very good store and lots of space. Most of the people there are indead d20 players, wargamers, or cardplayers.

I have a high-powered modern supernatural game that I've been dying to run, if you were interested.

Let me know.

Seems like I am about 6 months late on this thread. I will give it a try though. Are there any Hero players in the Mpls area that would be willing to take in a Hero System newbie?

I've moved to Iowa, so I can't help you, there.

Good luck!

I may be interested in GMing a Champions campaign, if I can get enough players. Email me at:

It is located at the corner of Snelling and Larpenteur, in Falcon Heights...

Hello. I am in the northwestern metro area. Maple Grove. I would be interested in playing a Hero game. My current group has no interest in buying Hero materials or running Hero campaigns. They play in the ones that I run. I have gotten them to do a couple year fantasy Hero campaign and a filler Champions deal. They mainly like running White Wolf stuff and one of the is talking about Earth Dawn.
So, anyway it has been many years since I have gotten to actually play in a Hero game and that would be a nice change of pace. Scheduling might be an issue, but that can always be worked around.
Also, I am creating a massive star Hero campaign that I won't be done with for about a year to year and a half yet, but I may need an extra player or two when I finish that up. It is going to be a cross between the Terran Empire Hero setting and Shadow Run. Basically 2636 AD Shadowrun, in the Hero system and with psionics instead of magic. But like I said I am doing a lot of stuff for that before I will be running it.
So, back to the point of this post. I live in the twin cites and would be interested in playing in a Hero game. Just about any genre.

Another good gaming store is Pheonix Games. It is in Uptown on Lake St. just west of Lyndale Ave.. I haven't spent a whole lot of time there, but they do stock a good number of Hero products. So, there must be Hero gamers passing through the place. And, of course, you have all the card gamers and war gamers hanging out there all the time too.

They do, but don't hold that against them.
