Java Question

Apparently, I've managed to set my Java options so that it tells me when there are updates. This morning, I got a cute little popup on my desktop telling me that Java 5.0 Update 9 was ready to be downloaded and installed.

Since I have no idea how this will affect HDv3, I thought I'd better check in with the Senior Code Monkey before I do anything rash.

So, Simon... is v3 compatible with this update?

Yup....any version of Java 5 (or better) should run HDv3 just fine.

Interesting happening I encountered actually, I grabbed one of the updates (about ten or so ago now I think, with the flurry of last week) and HD stopped working on my work computers until Update 9 was out and installed and then HD started working again. My machines at work are Windows XP I believe.

(and by not working I mean failed to launch completely, no errors just no HD.)
