I was running on a tanget and decided to write up a character sheet on Achilles and maybe a few more Hero/Gods as the chance and inspiration arises. This character is compiled from numerous resources. I elected to stay away from the absolute invulnerability since Achilles is noted to have been wounded in various texts but I still gave an homage to the vaunted ability.

Anyway, this is my first stab at him and there may be some refinements later on. Comments and Crits welcome.

Background/History: Achilles was the central character of the Iliad and according to legend, the finest warrior among the Greeks. Achilles was born to a minor goddess who sought to earn her son immortality, which gives rise to the legend of his invulnerability.

Personality/Motivation: Pride, love, grief, and glory are the things that drive this tragic hero. He goes to Troy knowing that he will die there but also knowing that without him, the Achaeans must fail. His friend, Odysseus, convinces the warrior to join the war despite the protestations of his mother.

Appearance:
A bronze god outfitted in the finest arms and armor of the age. Achilles was the foremost specimen of human athleticism, handsome beyond all the other warriors of his age. Brad Pitt in Troy is probably a good visual image of Achilles save for the warriors locks were reputed to be strawberry-blonde instead of dirty blonde.

How about some Hercules (http://www.pencil-pushers.net/Downloads/Hercules.pdf) action?

I forgot to copy the text portion before I PDF'd it. Sorry.

[PS - he's pretty darn gross and I think he is still not done but can't put my finger on why...]

Background/History: Hercules is the son of the adulterous
Zeus and a mortal queen. He is the greatest of the Greek heroes
and the only member of their ranks to ascend into divine status.
Many of the tribulations of his life can be laid at the feet of Hera
who despises the mortal son of her cheating husband. Hera has
placed a curse of madness on Hercules that strikes without
warning, driving him mad with rage. Typically, these fits of
madness result in the death of those close to him. Yet another gift
from Hera is Hercules profoundly unlucky life. He is betrayed by
kings, attacked at random by the scions of powerful gods, and
cursed to seemingly never have things fall his way.
Save Athena and Zeus, Hercules fights with nearly every
character in the Greek Pantheon killing many of Poseidon’s
children in particular.
Personality/Motivation: Hercules is the epitome of the Greek
masculine image: strong, virile, and stoic. He is always up for a
good brawl and willing to accept any challenge no matter how
seemingly impossible it seems at first blush. Most of these
challenges are a form of penance to ease the guilt over the
terrible things he has done in his moments of madness.
Powers/Tactics: Hercules is a strait forward warrior. He
prefers to grapple but when necessary he is deadly with a bow.
His favorite tactic is to grapple with a creature using his Iron
Vice to slay even other gods. If needed, Hercules is no dummy
and can formulate better strategies for facing opponents whom he
cannot overpower.
