I thought I remembered hearing discussion about an "Animated Action Hour Hero". Am I remembering that correctly, or was it just a rumor? If it was true, is it still on the drawing board?

It's a complete, and totally incorrect, rumor.

Is it possible you're thinking of the Cartoon Action Hour RPG (which we don't produce or publish), or Derek Hiemforth's Digital Hero article about "Saturday Morning Supers," which is in DH #11 and was one of our weekly freebies a couple of weeks ago?

However, of course you could quite easily use the HERO System 5th Edition to model Cartoon supers quite easily.

There was mention of a Dark Champions: the Animated Series on the old boards, I think. This thread (http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=613) (on the current boards) mentions it. Whether it was a wish, or a dream, or something else, I can't quite remember. Maybe someone else knows ...

DC:TAS is a subgenre book we'll likely do for the Dark Champions line at some point, but that'd be years away, probably -- 2005 at the earliest.

I think I may be the start of this rumor, as when DC: Animated was anounced as a posibility I sugested that instead of making it a sub genera book it be made into a global modifier type thing (Combind with Fantasy to get Thundar, combine with Dark Champions to get B:TAS, combine with Champions to get Justice League, etc...)...As I recall I was quite vocal on the issue...
