If you would like to add the new disadvantage secret form DH#7, follow the link below for a zip file.

It will give a quick discription of how to add it to the HD templetes.

You will have to do this each time Dan makes a new update.

If you were to write the Disad into the template, put it on a character sheet, and then save it as a Prefab, would that allow you to continue using the Disad from the Prefab without re-entering it every time there is a template update? I am curious and have no idea, but I know that with the frequency of updates I would not want to keep doing this over and over again.

I'm not sure if a prefab would work or not. I've added it enough times that it takes me about 2-3 minutes to add it to all the updates.

My problem is that I use the optional Susceptability from Champions, the Probablity Alteration and Create Objects powers from DH, and the alternate disads from all the books. That is a lot of template tweaking when a person is not a competent programmer. :)

That's actually part of the point to the templates.

In most cases, you don't want it to pull the item in unless it exists in the template. This allows you to "convert" from one genre to another and see the changes on your character.

About the only thing I can say to help you out here is that, if you have modified several Disads in your template, then just put them all at the top of the Disads section and then you can copy/paste one large chunk between templates whenever they're updated.

I will continue to state in the release notes for an update when there are template edits involved. The need for me to adjust the templates has dropped off to almost nill of late. The most recent update (1.19) was the first template edit that I've had to do in a while....

You also gould ahve them at the end of the disads. Being how they're listed last you go to the end and up a couple lines and presto.

I like having them in the correct order so I scroll up to where Secret would be. Like I said between it and the martial arts I add in it takes about 2-3 minutes to change it. I realize that I could make the prefabs but I don't mind adding them in.

The ordering in the template really shouldn't matter....the disads/powers/skills/whatever are all sorted alphabetically after they are read in from the template....so put them in whatever order you want ;)
