Mutant for Hire

I mentioned it on another thread, talking about entry level HERO games, but I was wondering if anyone else had taken the idea and put it into reality.
That is, that you create two character sheets for every character. One of them is a 'source code' sheet. It purely has the point costs of characteristics, skills, powers, talents and so on. It doesn't have things like CV, 9+CHAR/5 and all of that stuff. It's purely to list how the character was built.
The other sheet would be the compiled sheet. No raw characteristics, purely what impact those characteristics have in the game. CV, 9+CHAR/5 and the effects of powers rather than how they were built. The line from the SPD table for the character, etc. The stuff people use all the time in the game session.
What do people think of this? Has anyone actually tried to create a good sheet for that?
