Okay, I have read that section of Star Hero many times but it doesn't quite clear up my question. If a Ship buys Flight (30"), does that mean they can move 30 hexes regardless of the scale I may put together? (within reason of course) Or should I also make the ship have a scaleable megascale in addition to the normal movement?

I know I can make up whatever rule I want but I would like the "official" rule before I do any of my own variations... :)

If a ship can move 30", it moves 30". Typically that means 30 inches each measuring 2m, but if the GM has redefined a "hex" as equaling something else (say, 1 km), then it would be 30 of that something else. MegaScaling isn't required for the movement; if it were there'd be no need to redefine what a "hex" equals as a campaign ground rule.
