I was going through some old Hero stuff Sunday and found a villian named Yo-Yo....I thought he would be a cool addition for the Carnival of Syn.
Of course I will totally rewrite him, as I do with all characters.....
I was writing up a "Tao of Yo Ryu" martial art when I got to wondering...
Do others write up new martial arts for weapon weilders?

Usable with Yo yos as default, can learn to use with...
Barehand,and/or
any flexable weapon such as a Kusari, whip and the like...

Some sort of takedown, perhaps?
I could even see nerve strikes...

Yes, I try to - it's part of the fun. As an aside, I realized several months ago that I might be fixated on the manuever Choke Hold - apparantly I'm putting it into every MA I buy for characters, and then later editing it out for not making sense. Anyone have a favorite manuever that they tend to add regardless of the sense it might make?

I always add too many manuevers -- two O-Strikes, two D-Strikes, and it seems everyone knows how to break bones. Something I've fixed in later editions, but I still catch myself being hung up on the mechanics.

Tre cool Yo......I was going to go with an HA, OIF or OAF and streaching, then use MA for frosting. I may have to rethink things...
If the Yo has an onboard computer, I can equip Mooks with 'em as well....

A computer sounds wicked cool. What would it do though?

What about a Killing Attack with a circular-saw-blade yo-yo, like from one of the James Bond movies (I can't remember which one off hand)?

I buy the "Robo-YO" as a automaton...the mook just carries it around....or it just special effect for a mook to have such a cool toy to play with....

Thought Id throw this out there. I couldnt find it but I remember watching as a kid the Smothers Brother show. Tom did his Yo Yo man skits from time to time and in one of them he was dressed up like a monk swinging twin Yo-Yos. Couldnt find a pic of it though. This was the best I could dig up. My search-fu is weak! :o

Put some LEDs and a computer chip in the yo-yo and you have a mesmerizing Mind Control slot.
