HERO System is the Champions system. Which I guess is a susbset of Fuzion, which is a combo of Champions and RTalsorian's InterLock. It's a dice based system, unlike Marvel's with it stones based.

Please people, if you don't know, don't say.

Very true, that's way off.

You HAVE to have stones to play HERO right. Real big ones.

And here I thought it was Beatles-based.

True dat. Reminds me, maybe I should do a write up for Peter Pumpkin Head (came to town). Spreading wisdom and... cash around.

Oh G-d. Don't mind me.

At least there was a quick correction by another poster.

Worst Description Hero - sounds like a genre Hero should avoid.

I thought he was just trolling, but then I have a hard time sometimes reading tone on message boards.

No, I think he was honestly mistaken.

I tend not to read who posts a message until after I read it. This time after I posted and just was too lazy to edit. :D

LOL I once ran a Castle Falkenstein adventure where the villain tried to escape the top of a castle by grabbing a hang glider (anachronistic tech was common in the game) and leaping off the edge.

I had decided that the PCs had never seen a hang glider before. I had a hard time describing what it was without giving away the secret. All I could say is, "he grabs this thing and jumps off the roof."

One player responded "Wait a minute! He grabs his thing and jumps off the roof?" Laughter ensued.

"What guy?"
"You know, that guy who was in that thing with that other guy"
"Oh, the one with the red thing?"
"Yeah, that guy"

My players can genuinely have conversations like this.

cheers, Mark

It is better to remain silent and appear a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Of course, I have never let that stop me.

Unfortunately, this is fairly common. I just conversed with a Hero naysayer the other day. When the dust cleared, we discovered that he had confused Fuzion with 5th Edition, based entirely off of half-remembered hearsay.
