Saw District B13 today; good background material for some Dark Champions campaigns.

Yep - I thought the ending was bit too "feel-good", but the first half of the movie just pumped.

The district is a nice example of a "zero zone" from Mike Surbrook's Kazei 5.

cheers, Mark

I LIKED IT!

And now that you mention it. It does remind me of a Zero Zone.

Yeah, it was okay... some of the fight scenes were interesting. Story didn't really do much for me, though. Too many bad films made with the same idea, which left me with a horrible feeling that may have seeped into my watching this one...

Could make a pretty good campaign world, though, but perhaps a bit too contained or easily ruined by an exit strategy... PCs do tend to make a mess of things. =)

I was thinking more as an inspiration for some sprawls / hives / zones.

How good was the Free Running in the movie? Anybody know where it can be rented?

The initial scene where he's escaping from a building is pretty awesome. That's pretty much the high point of the parkour IMO.

Definately the selling point of the movie - although the fight in the nightclub/casino wasn't too shabby either :D
