"Lovecraft fans, let your presence be felt!"
I haven't posted this campaign at HeroCentral yet. If/when I do post it at HC, I'll take PMs for players over there. I just thought I'd float it here first to see what response it gets. Here's my first pass at a campaign pitch:
The original hand-to-mouth entertainers take their show on the road through the fungous, unillumined woods of aeon-decayed New England, wherein lurk the unhallowed, polypous horrors of immemorial abysses. Plus laughs galore!
PCs are drawn from the familiar Muppet Show characters - Kermit, Fozzy Bear, Miss Piggy, etc. First come, first served! Lunacy is the order of the day, both the Muppet kind and the Lovecraftian kind.
At the Muppets of Madness is a playtest scenario for a homegrown rule set called GAGS. The rules are diceless, "narrativist" and very simple. Players spend points to influence the outcome of a scene. Be prepared to narrate!
I need 3-4 players. The game should be quick and breezy, 4-6 posts per week.

It sounds completely Gonzo. (Wakka-wakka-wakka!)
Much as I love Kermit (my first idol and role model, in all seriousness) I could see Gonzo doing fairly well in such an absurd setting. Of course, Animal, and Miss Piggy each have more offensive capabilities, as does Lou Zealand. Would Sweetums be a PC or a monster?
Seriously, if you want to try it, I'm game. If I can bring a chicken as a DNPC.

I'd be happy to give it a whirl too - I'm currently playing DarkBhudda's Doctor Who game, but could easily do another if it doesn't have too fast a turnaround.
I did win an award at a Con for playing Doctor Strangepork in Pigs in Space. But I think that was mainly because I solved all technical difficulties and science questions with a large hammer.

When all you have is a hammer, science starts to look like a nail.
The game will be leisurely and easygoing. I wrote up the rule set in the specific hope that it would make light PbP games easy to get off the ground. I just need to wrap up the formatting of the rules and we'll be ready to roll.
Chickens are very welcome. You can never have too much ammunition.

I read the ruleset and I want to try it.
You don't have apps open, though...
Already get everyone you wanted?

Actually I just opened it up for applications. List two or three Muppet choices in case someone already got your first pick.

I only put one as you opened before I returned.
I'll list 3 here:
Dr. Bunsen (Beaker)
Sam the Eagle
Rowlf the Dog

I had several choices - including Link Hogthrob, Dr Strangepork, the two hecklers (Statler and Waldorf), Dr Bunsen Honeydew and Fozzie Bear.
I regard the two hecklers as a single character - unless another player is playing one of them.

The two hecklers are Waldorf and Statler.
"When he was talking about banishing the ancient one, I thought he was talking about you!"
"I've seen better tentacles at a sushi bar."
They'd be pretty funny. But since their sanity is completely unassailable (it is impossible to impress those guys), they might make better NPCs.

I was also thinking - as they're more belligerent and really a one-joke item, they should only be seen in small doses, such as cameos. As PCs they would get annoying after a while.
I'm going with Link Hogthrob.

Yes. This game did get going and I was the weakest link for sure. It was fun while it lasted.

Would Sweetums be a PC or a monster?Yes to both.
Hadn't you noticed? with muppets, monsters are also PCs,
C is for Cthulhu. That's good enough for me!

I can just imagine Gonzo standing over an altar with Piggy chained down to it...
