Since I'm going all the way down to Portland for DunDraCon this weekend, I was wondering if anyone had plans to run impromptu or scheduled HERO games of various types -- preferably with pregenerated characters.

Was planning to, got sidetracked by a contract. So I'm delaying until Game Storm.
p.s. You might want to go all the way to San Ramon. Portland's a bit further north.
p.p.s. I know it's just a typo.:p

By my count there are over twenty scheduled Hero games at DDC this year, Mike, and Hero will be supporting all of them. As usual, there will be a bunch of pickup games in the Open Gaming room as well, plus lots of general Hero goodness and special guests, massages by Ray Greer, seminars,e tc. You will not lack for Hero-related fun, I promise.

Good. then maybe someone at the con can sit down with me and help me design my speedster hero Velociraptor.

You can get a list of all of the games scheduled at DunDraCon at http://www.dundracon.com and I will be running a villian Champs game 8pm on Saturday with, hopefully, an interesting twist at the end.
Darren, just curious - what does "support of the games" consist of?

Ahhh! I'm so excited! My second game convention. Maybe this year I'll actually play a game.

ON a completely unrelated but very useful note, there will be a memorial for the Columbia astronauts on Sunday the 14th at 9:00am in one of the seminar rooms (I'll have to look up which). All are invited, and the service is non-denominational.

Mark- we'll send somebody by each game to chew the fat for a few minutes and meet the GM and players, and offer a book as a prize for the GM to award as he sees fit. We like seeing what people are doing with the game, and consider it "market research." dw

Cool! The Challenge of the Superfriends games have always been a hoot to run, and getting to give away goodies for whoever gets into the cheese the best makes it even more fun. Woohoo! I can't wait! :)

Again, we are most heartily sorry, Mark. Your game was on at the same time as the Hero party, and got lost in all the concussion. Our conversation the next morning went like this: "I thought you went." "No, you were supposed to." "You nut, I was off getting pizza. How could I go?" "Well, I was trying to get the room key from hotel services, you dingus." "Dingus! Why, I oughtta...", etc., etc.
Run a game at Kubla and we'll give you two prizes to make up for it. dw
