Just moved here to Edmonton from Vancouver BC. Looking for local gammers, or a good gameshop? I hear Warp1 down in Strathcona is a good store.

Sorry Hierax :(

Hey, Dr.Unpossible!

I'm actually in Edmonton right now at my brother's place!

FWIW, IMO, Warp1 isn't a good gaming store because gouges gamers by marking product up over the suggested retail / list price on the book (or at least it did when I lived here and I hold grudges when I'm ripped off!). Hopefully they're still not like that but do look at the price before you buy. Too bad you're not in Calgary, the Sentry Box is an excellent games store that doesn't gouge and has the best selection I've ever seen (haven't been to Imperial Hobbies in Vancouver yet, but I think that Sentry Box is still bigger).

I knew a guy who we played Champions with in Red Deer who went to UAlberta, but I've lost touch with him the last few years so I'm not sure if he's still in Edmonton, sorry.

Regardless, best wishes in the frigid wastes of Edmonchuck!

Jason

A friend who lived in Calgary and Vancouver says that Sentry Box is _way_ bigger. (And he lives in Edmonton now, too).

Imperial Hobbies is probably the biggest and best in the Vancouver area, though.

Hi Doctor,

I'm glad you haven't fallen off the edge of the earth. Actually, you're probably safer now, being further inland. I tried paging you on the old boards about six months ago, when I started my Savage Earth PBeM. I don't think you ever saw the message, but you can read the transcripts at www.herocentral.com.

DOH!

See looks like I did drop off the face of the earth here. Just found this ole post.

HIERAX, from what I hear, Warp still gouges folks here. It's tobad but owell.

and KEITH dangiht! I really wanted to play in yer Savage Earth Campaign. Flarbh! Maybe I can get in on yer next PBM game? I gotta stop playing Everquest and put all my notes on my "Post Apoc" HEROgame donw on a webpage

As a Kid I always envied kids in England and Europe. Because they had castles and knights in there history. So I used to dream what North America would be like if it was a medival society. Welp years later and lots of post apoc movies I have an outline for a Medival N/A locked in the grips of a new IceAge. Thow in Psionics as magic, and Robots as Golums and a Heavy Handed Church of the Atom (Catholic church) Mutants and good ole leftover Gun tech. And its the beginnings of my setting.

Anyhoo I was really lookin forward to playin yer Savage Earth.

Thanks Chuck

Yeah I already miss Imperial Hobbies, and I've only been gone 4 months now. It has a full comic shop, model shop, miniatures store, and even Novels to boot. Its yer full purpose Gamming store. Even sports cards if thats yer thing.

Hierax, are u still in Edmonton? If so we should hook up for a beer at the "Mall"
