Perception and Concealment

Is there any functional difference between using Concealment to find something hidden or Perception? For example, of the character is searchign a room for a hidden object, door, etc should concealment be used or just their raw perception? What is the Perception is only with a certain sense group, say Sight? If the character has enhanced percetion AND concealment do you automaticlly use the higher or is one commplimentary or something else?
