When making a compound power it would be awesome to be able to be able to add modifiers to all powers like a list. Or at least be able to include a list with in the compound.

Sorry, but that is not what Compound Powers are for.

You can place a Compound Power in a list and any Common Modifiers on the list will be taken on by each of the component Powers in the CP, but that's as close as you're going to get.

I guess I'll survive then :D.

Its really hell making complex spells for a fantasy hero system ina compound power that works as a single unit so each part needs to be similarly limited and advantaged.

Thanks for the quick reply though.

When you're adding modifiers like this, I've found the Recently Selected tab to be a lifesaver. You still have to add them individually, but it saves you the time of going through the whole list to pick what you're looking for.

I don't think the issue is just about whether the common modifiers can be added in fewer key strokes. It's also an information display issue (as in too much redundant information for some).

If the final multiple-power construct is not going into a framework then a List does the job perfectly. But if the construct is going to be put into a framework like a VPP or Multipower then a Compound Power is the only option. Any Common Modifiers can be set to show only on the reserve but if the range of powers in the framework have a wide variety of modifiers (like many different spells would) any time that a Compound Power is used to build a multiple-power construct with modifiers that vary from the overall framework the differences will have to be shown on each component power of the construct as HD is currently designed.

I'm guessing that the Company Questions Forum is the best place to request changes to the functionality of HD like this but I'm not sure.

Well, in general this forum is the best place to request changes, as Dan is the one that controls what features go into HD. That being said, if Dan decides he isn't interested in making a change about the only way to get it made would be to convince Steve or Darren that the change was needed, and then get them to convince Dan. And barring things that impact HD implementing the rules of Hero, I'm pretty sure they aren't interested in getting into it.

Each Power in a Compound Power can have it's own set of Limitations, they don't have to match.

Dan would need to implement BOTH options. Which could get cumbersome.

Compound Power is really a HD way of saying "These two powers are in the same slot" mostly.

Thanks for the Tip.
This really speeds things up.
Epecialy when making themed prefabs where most constructs have similar ADV+Lim

So if we create a list, and the Compound Power is the only thing in the list, a Common Modifier on the list will affect each of the components of the Compound Power...?

It likely would have taken you less time to actually try it than to type up the question...but yes.
