I'd call it "Superheroic fantasy role play, with hightech mixers..."

Hmmm...Science fantasy with super heros?

A Gamorrean would fit right in on Eternia. His name could be Hoggor.

I think of He-Man as falling in the "Sword and Planet" HERO sub-genre. It's a sword-and-sorcery pulp science fiction set on an alien planet (Eternia); with rubber-science and 'magic' in the form of Clarke-tech... technology sufficiently advanced to be indistinguishable from magic. Distinct from say Barsoom, but much the same... most knobs cranked to 11, possibly.

"Conan the Kryptonian: and the Masters of the Moons of Mongo."

High-Tech Fantasy.

Star Wars is actually not a bad example. Vibro knives, laser pikes, laser swords, laser bows...it's all part of the schtick.
