It just so happens that my game night falls on the 4th of July this year. I'm planning a special "patriot" cross-dimensional caper for my players...
Does anyone have a write-up of the Spirit of 76?

Or DC's Mr. America?

Would anyone be willing to do a quick character creation of either???
(I don't have Hero Designer, so please savce it as a text file to these boards)
:celebrate Happy 4th!!!

Your best bet would be to modify one of the rather similar Golden Age characters written up here (http://www.sysabend.org/champions/gnborh/groups/gnborh-DC-All-Star_S.html) and here (http://www.sysabend.org/champions/gnborh/groups/gnborh-Marvel-Invaders.html).
Any of the non-powered characters would be a good starting point. After that it's just a matter of filling in the details...
I did actually once have a writeup of Spirit of 76 converted from the old Marvel Superheroes game, but that was twenty years ago!
EDIT: More thoughts...
Add some combat luck to the writeups from gnborh, since the latter were prior to the current edition.
Mr America:
Whip: OAF. Stretching. Multipower: HA, Entangle, Swinging.
Magic Carpet: OAF or OIF (depending on his degree of control). Flight.
Spirit of 76:
Cape: OAF or OIF. Armour, Missile Deflection. Possibly have a 14- activation roll on armour.
Rip most disads from Captain America, and adjust to taste. Avoid a CVK for Mr America, due to his Americommando phase. Replace it with a Heroic Code? Definitely have Superpatriot, and a Nazi hunted of some description.
Don't stress about giving the character(s) huge sets of Disads. 100 points at most. Much more than that and you are making stuff up. Use experience to fill out the point total if necessary.
Unfortunately these would actually be fairly low-powered characters, although you could skill them up quite nicely.

I played the Spirit of '76 in a campaign. Although he was the Spirit of 1976, but I could still translate him to Hero.

I’ve borrowed several patriotic heroes from many sites on the web (special thanks to all those folks for creating such a great database of Champions characters!!!), but have not found the Spirit of '76 or Mr. America. Not really surprising
So, I'm just going to manipulate a few Captain America write-ups (as assault suggested).
Tonight is the big fireworks!!!!
I hope everyone out there is enjoying this great holiday.
