Greetings, Canadian Herophiles!
I'm currently working on the art list for Champions Of The North. Naturally, the book has a section providing information about major Canadian cities. Rather than hire an artist to try to illustrate them, we thought it might be nice to have actual photos of city skylines or prominent landmarks. That gets us a better, more timely image and does more to make those sections of the book come alive.
Scott B. has done yeoman's work digging up copyright-free historical photos and images, but modern-day ones are much harder to come by. So I thought I'd turn to Hero's greatest resource -- its fans!
If you live in a major Canadian city (or have visited one) and have a good digital picture you could donate to the cause, or would have the chance to take your digital camera along with you one day and snap a few, it would be much appreciated! We'd be most interested in:
--skylines depicting a large swath of the city
--panoramas of the city taken from some distance outside the city limits
--pictures of prominent buildings or other landmarks associated with the city
Similarly, if you have any other Canadian pictures you think are noteworthy (e.g., a good one of an RCMP officer at work, Canadian flag flapping in the breeze, etc.), we can probably find a use for those too. ;)
If you think you can help out, please send me a PM and we can work out the details. Naturally, everyone who donates a picture we use will be mentioned in the credits of the book. Thanx!
