I recall seeing a blurb awhile back that Lucha Libre HERO was going to be released late in 2007.
Anything ever come of that? Because it sounded awesome.

IIRC Darren moved it to DDC 2008 for release.

For clarification, DDC is DunDraCon held near San Francisco on the President's Day weekend.

I look forward to this.
I await it with bated breath. ( Not baited breath, that'd smell nasty )
I yearn for it, as I have never yearned for a lucha libre based RPG book before.

LLH won't be available for sale at DunDraCon. Recent events have delayed Darren's completion of the book, which means I'm not going to start editing it until I finish writing The Book Of The Machine in late January. Howver it is still on the schedule and heading your way, slowly but surely. ;)

Unless pinecone's developed a brilliant counter to the Scorian death lock, and is trying to sucker someone into using it on him! :sneaky:

how to improvise a LLH campaign til lluche libre HERO is released
take the king ot the streetfighting ring tournament from NINJA HERO[ use that books references and levels for cinematic heroes] ,
make the contestants luchadore or wrestlers from other countries,
throw in a mad scientist[a grandchild of dr jennings petrie from PULP HERO should do] backed by a corrupt promoter and BINGO INSTANT LUCHADORE CAMPAIGN

You could also probably make use of the full HERO character sheet for the legendary El Santo in Digital Hero #28.

Golden Age of Champions Heroes with Ninja Hero powers vs Horror Hero Monsters and Justice Inc. Mad Scientists.
I am super chuffed that this is coming out and cannot wait to bathe in its mad, impetuous goodness.
That said, one thing which I hope is addressed will be the difference between early lucha films (usually black and white) which tend towards being more low-level and straightforward, and the later, more psychotronic stuff (usually colour) which tends to be a bit more way-out, a little campier, and tends to have a less coherent plotline.

Curses! Foiled again!
I will have to send my army of panther women and vampire midget luchadores over to 'persuade' Darren and yourself to expediate the process... Now, which one of you wants the panther women, and which wants the vampire midget luchadores?
