It would be interesting if you could add an API for integrating utilities directly into Hero Designer. This could allow people to add menu items under something like "Custom Utilities," spawing external programs, and also accessing HD functions.
For example, a utility that exports a character file into its own directory, and works with that character file (importing it into a combat simulator, let's say). It would have to be able to access HD's export function, as well as spawning it's own process.
