Steve,

I've got a transmit question too, a follow up to the one by Gowkaiser96. If I buy Transmit (sight) OAF -1. What's it good for? Is it a flashlight? Is it a laser pointer? Is it a TV set that displays what's on my mind? One of those ship-to-ship light boxes from WWII? If I shine it into the sky on a "dark night," will batman arrive?

It lets you Transmit what you see. If you want a flashlight, you create that with Images (see 5ER and many books for examples); same for a Bat-signal.

So does it follow that if I have Transmit: Sound, I can repeat sounds I hear? And no other sounds – it doesn’t let me speak with my own voice, but I can imitate what I’m hearing?

You say “what you see” not “what you saw.” Is it possible to “store” or “remember” sensory information and transmit it later?

So, does this mean I can make someone else see as if through my eyes? At what range? Line of sight? I can let someone on the horizon see what’s in front of me? (which would include him, actually, if it’s line of sight, but also things between us he may miss at that range)

Does he need to have sight to be able to see this transmission?

Can I buy a Suppress that targets only the Transmit part of senses, so that I can Suppress Transmissions?

1. Please don’t take the following the wrong way. I promise I’m not angry, I’m just tired of ridiculous questions on this subject, and I can’t convey tone of voice in a post.

Look, this is not difficult. Use your common sense when adjudicating the effects of what you can and can’t Transmit. We all know what it was intended for, it was intended for radios and things like that. If you want to come up with bizarre uses for it, just apply common and dramatic sense.

2. No; that’s Eidetic Memory, or simple roleplaying or something. Transmit is not Eidetic Memory.

3. Transmit is a Sense Modifier, not a Sense. Unless the GM permits otherwise, another character cannot Adjust just a Sense Modifier; he has to Adjust the whole Sense.
