Is there a MS Word document template that is available for use by HERO's adoring public that has the same look as most of the HERO books?
I think my PCs might get a kick out of seeing the NPCs in my game written up to look like an actual HERO document.
(Also, would doing this be a violation of Intellectual Property? It's only for personal use, but I can understand how such a claim might be viewed with skepticism. If it is a violation, consider the request withdrawn in advance...)

Well, I certainly don't have any template. I don't use MS Word, which cuts my productivity to about 50% of normal; I use (the IMO much better) WordPerfect.
By and large we prefer that fans not make their own productions look too much like our stuff for fear of causing confusion, but within reason we don't mind. :hex:

Shaft, are you referring to an Export Format for Hero Designer, or an actual Word Template?

A Word document template, like a .dot file.

I actually created an Export Format for Hero Designer that matches the books almost exactly. If you use it to Export a character, it should then be extremely easy to turn it into a Word Template.
Personally, I would just get HeroDesigner and make it 100x easier though.

I do have Hero Designer as well. If you don't mind sharing it, I would be very grateful. :D

Which version of HeroDesigner? If you have v3, just go to the vault and search for RTF Export Formats. Mine start with RPM. There are several different flavors for you to choose from. If you have v2, I can send them to you if you give me an addy to send to.

I have both, but use v3.
Thanks. I'll rep you tomorrow. :D

Well thank you. If you have any questions on those templates, or something doesn't look right, or you need a modification just ask.
Oh, and since you mentioned seeing your NPC written up like a book. I also created a Combat Export that uses the published format to create a book of characters. Just look under the Combat Exports for a file starting with RPM. I believe it has 'Book' in the file name. If you don't find that in the Vault let me know. I'm pretty sure I put it there, but I've put a bunch there so I might be mistaken.

By this alone, I would know you used to be a lawyer.
