Trying to settle a small internal argument and looking for outside input.
Please review the characters at: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4810
and then vote on which of the team members you think is the all around nastiest/best/most dangerous/most powerful.
You may vote for more than one if you cant decide....
Thanx!

Major Savage, because logically he should be able to build a suitcase nuke or somehing even more deadly based on what he learned in basic training. Also, he should have the tactical sense to understand the value of nuking your targets from orbit.

;) Hmm...well, unfortunately for that theory he lacks any type of skill to do that. He's just a trigger-puller. His VPP is limited to the 20 items that were in his combat load out. He has a hi-tech private gear chest that contains all of his equipment and armor bits. Everything runs off of self-recharging batteries that recharge in a day. To switch bits he has to have access to his gear chest and time, and the gear chest is too big to lug into combat.
Still, there is no denying he's dangerous. His gun is very powerful, and he's extremely flexible thanx to his gear pool. If we have any idea of what we are facing he prolly has something appropriate in his bag o trix ;)

Heck, he has a 23rd century education. He probably built tac-nukes to scare his sister when he was a kid.

I voted for Hype because I respect SPEED!
I voted for Agent X because I like the Name ;) and surprise from disguise is often underestimated

Well I was going to see what other people thought before I posted my own two cents worth on this particular subject. However since its been up now for a while and no one really has said much on it I'm going to chime in now. Personally since Rook is my character and I happen to like him a great deal I'd like to think he is the most powerful of the group if for no other reason then to inflate my own ego:) . If I look at this logically though I'd have to say Hype is the most powerful , but this is from the stand point of a no-holds-barred-knock-down-drag-out-you-can't-run-away fight.
I'm quite sure Rook and Hype would be two of the three left standing at the end before it was just Rook and Hype. I think Hype's eight speed would be the deciding factor though. He moves twice as often as Rook and can nickle and dime Rook into the ground. It wouldn't be easy and Hype would know he was in a fight when it was all said and done but when the dust finally cleared I think it would be Hype left standing alone. I'm also of the opinion that since their so close in power that it could and would ultimately come down to who had the better dice rolling. In this case I'd have to favor Rook winning since my luck with the dice is better then Shrike's (think Mat Cauthon from the Wheel of Time):D .
If we're talking out of combat and in any given socializing (ergo role-playing) situation with others outside the group then I'd have to pick either John Wrath or Agent X. They just have lotsa skills and for the most part know how to use all of them;) . Thats just my view though, hopefully others will post their thoughts on here too and we can get a good discussion going.:)

Also, you forgot to mention the Maytag advantage. If Hype were stupid enough to fight rook in or near a Sears Appliance department, he'd get refrigerated to death by Rook ;)

Woo Hoo Rook is in the lead with two votes more then the other members of the team! To bad no one has bothered to say why they think he is the most powerful but oh well I'll live. It must have been the Sears appliance department and refrigerator comment that pushed the votes in his favor.:D

Hopefully we'll get more votes....it cracks me up, 80 people will vote on a joke poll, but you cant get 15 to vote on a serious game related poll.

I post on a political discussion board. As a third party supporter, I often remind myself that topics that are of interest to me aren't necessarily going to be of interest to others.

True; its still frustrating that on a game board dozens of people will take the time to respond and vote on a joke poll, but cant be bothered to tender thier opinions about game related material.
Now, having ventured to offer advice, please be so kind as to tender a vote as well. Your opinions are appreciated! Thanx!

Settle your own damn argument. Which, having moved up to second most responses with my vote, should tell you something.

Well, if Hero was to be faulted for anything it's illegible characters. Wading through 9 character's powers and then figuring out who has the biggest stick isn't a quick task.

Personally, I like reading characters and judging/weighing thier capabilities. I love to read thru posted characters bcs I get new insights via the way others use the system. Apparantly I am in the minority :(

Nope. We all enjoyed reading your characters (at least I did), and the enemies books sell well, which means that people do enjoy reading character write ups. So why haven't more people voted?
Hive weasels.
At least that's my guess.
