Stretching Does Not Cross Intervening Question

Q: If a character has Stretching with the does not cross advantage to simulate a disconnected appendage, what happens if he "touches" someone with a Damage Shield with the Stretched appendage?

Is he affected normally by the Damage Shield or not at all? Would it vary be SFX? For example, would the Stretched appendage conduct damage from an electricity SFX Damage Shield back to the character even though the stretched appendage is not actually connected to the character?

He’s affected by the Damage Shield normally. You could easily buy extra defenses against that sort of thing with a hefty Limitation, though.
