I am someone else trying to create a template for the first time. I figured out how to get a new characteristic on the character, and even how to get it to be in the middle of the 'figured' characteristic area.

I applogize if this has already been answered, but I have been trying different search functions, and I can't seem to find the answers. :(

Question 1: On the Characteristics tab, the New figured characteristic shows up, it is 'MD" for mental defense. But the listing shows a characteristic roll, and I can't figure out how to have that not there, as per PD or ED.

Question 2: How do I get Mental Defense on the Powers tab to be updated by changes on the characteristic tab, and vice-versa in making changes to Mental Defenses on the Powers tab to affect the Characteristic Tab?

Thanks in Advance. :help:
I have included the template.....

The Characteristic Roll thingy you're stuck with. Custom Characteristics have them; its the way it is and isn't going to change soon.

as to the other...I had a similar problem and got help from the wonderful and talented RPMiller and Dan Simon. Let me post my template here...

See if looking at this helps I think you need to change it at the Powers Level...

Thanks for the rapid reply.

It helped 'mostly'.... Mental Defense as a power doesn't read the 'base' value characteristic.... Hum... Just thinking, there may be something that I am missing. Characteristics as a power have a check box....

Simon, could you give some insite?

Thanks
Jerry

Ok.... Don't know if a reboot will make a difference, but, Mental Defense now has the 'choice' to have that value added to the primary or secondary or none....

Very Confusing.... Now, on to working on the print template.....

Thanks all for your help.
