This project studies the diversity, natural history and the cultural aspects of the animal life found on the other world known as Snaiad, one of humanity's first colonies. It aims to be comprehensive, giving encyclopedic information about each and every prominent clade of life, and detailing their interaction with the human inhabitants of the planet, complete with illustrations.

Here, you can get a sneak preview of Snaiad. You can browse through the history of the planet's settlement, take a look at the world map and through there, view sample species from different geographic locations.

Snaiad is a large project, larger than any I have attempted in the past. This is why it needs support. With a publishers' aid, and the guidance of a skilled editor, it can come to full-flowering as a unique treatise on extraterrestrial natural history.

Nice - I like worldbuilding projects.

It reminds me of Wayne Douglas Barlow's Expedition.

You probably should put a NSFW marker on it though - as one of the classifications for the animals is based on their method of goring prey using an abdominal claw.

I must have missed that.

Heh, yeah, there's a couple of animals with the abdominal claw. The Missionary (with a NSFW nickname), the Flipdick, and, one I've seen mentioned but haven't found, the Frig.
