I just installed HD and updated it to 1.47, this is the 1st time using the software, but I can't seem to find the disad examples. Can anyone help me out?

What disad examples are you talking about?

The disads tab should list all of the disad types....from there you either define the disads for the character (HD will calculate the cost and do some funkiness to get the display right according to the WG), or you can load the disads in from a number of prefabs that are available.

I looked on the Hero website but didn't see any prefab for disads. I was looking for the disad examples like on the old hero creator software. Could you point me to the download that has the disad example?

If there are no prefabs for Disads in the free stuff section then there are none. I do not remember anyone ever making one, and I also do not remember DOJ offering one for sale. The example Disads are just something you will have to do yourself. Sorry.

I've seen several being batted around since the release last December....if you want, try posting up a new thread asking for one. More likely that someone will see it that way.

Alternately, the disads are rather extremely easy to make/define. If you've got a copy of FREd handy, it should only take you about 10 minutes to run through the disads section and enter in any examples that they have. Save that as a prefab (under the File menu) and you're good to go.

There's only a couple in the CommonHero.hdp file (2 to 4, I think).

The commonhero.hdp file contains six (6) example disads:


Psych: Code against killing
Social: Public ID
Social: Public ID (many enemies)
Social: Secret ID
Social: Secret ID (many enemies)
Social: Subject to Orders


That's the only set of prefab disads I've seen.

Here are the samples, straight from the book. Didn't take all that long to input them (since I can certainly use them).

Looks like you can't upload HDP files, so here is a ZIPPED version. Never used the windows-xp built in zip function, hopefully it works...
