Greetings all,

HeroCon 2008 has needs of prizes. Last year we had quite a prize box and this year we wish to do the same. So, if you have any old games, DVDs, CDs, or book you were thinking about getting rid of, send it to us! We'd love to have it.

HeroCon is in early November in Maryland. Please PM or email for more information.

Seriously, there was also a copy of Living Steel, Neverwhere, Gunsmith Cats manga collections, NASA publications, the entire Game of Thrones series in hardback, and more!

Prizes were "pick what you like" for the most part.

Saturday the 3rd, I visited a large yard sale held at a local school. While browsing, I found the following:

Lord of the Rings board game ($50.00 item) -- unpunched
Best of The Dragon Games -- virtually unused
Girl Genius: The Works
Gamma Marauders -- virtually unused (as far as I can tell)
En Garde
Dante's Inferno
Dwarven Dig -- virtually unused

All in one lot for $10.00. So I think someone will walk away happy.

Actually, it was a gamer purging everything he didn't play.

I now wish I'd said $20.00 for everything I could cram into a cardboard box and picked up a few more games. There was a copy of TSR's 4th Dimension there (back when the logo was a lizard man!).

Your HEROCON committee had a great meeting this weekend and things are looking great for the con. If anyone has any suggestions, comments or wishes that they would like us to consider we’ll be having our next meeting at the end of July so if you have anything you’d like us to cover or if you have any questions just drop us a line.
