Hello. I just got my gaming group to switch to HERO and am considering upgrading to v3 from v2. I have a number of packs for v2, (Fantasy Hero, Viper) and I was wondering if they worked in v3 or if I would have to buy them all over again.

Yes, packs and characters from v1 and v2 will work with v3.

I can back that up. I was buying v2 packs back when v2 was current, and I've had no trouble opening them up and editing them in v3.

In the online store you can buy Hero Packs for Hero Designer. These packs have the characters from various source books as well as powers and package deals. They are great as you can quickly pull up an NPC from a certain book.

Now that I know the ones I have will work with HD3 I will be upgrading to it in a month or so (stupid recession). I highly recommend them.

Check out the online store and do a search with HERO Designer as the category and you will sell all the packs.
