Bar Codes

I have been purchasing Hero products left and right from my FLGS. Yesterday was the second time that they told me that Hero Games had used the same bar coding for more than one product. I don't remember which two products they said it about the first time. Yesterday, it was FH and the Hero Designer CD.

Maybe these guys are yo-yos and they don't know what the hell they are doing, and that is resulting in the mix up. Christ knows that wouldn't surprise me. But if they are not, I thought I would mention it as a problem Hero seems to be repeating, and it seems like it would be a pretty simple fix for future products.

They started joking Hero for being bozos because of this mix-up. The way their bar code scanner was working, it was hard to argue. I can't tolerate fun being made of Hero (psych lim, ya'know, I needed the points). The Harbinger of Justice will have their case files soon enough, but in the meantime, I thought I would mention it...

There is one instance I know of where a bar code was accidentally repeated. Otherwise this complaint seems to result from the fact that the store is using outdated software and/or not scanning the entire bar code. For some reason some older systems or software tend to skip the part of the code at the far right.
