I'm trying to create a prefab that if taken reduces Running by 1". There does not appear to be a way to do this so it automaticlly updates Running total on the Characteristics Tab.

The Power Running will not allow me to go Negitive.

Any Help?

Rather than using a prefab (or in addition to a prefab), just create a character file to use as a starting point. That character file can include sold off characteristics, and anything else that you want.

V1 does not allow negative Running....I may adjust this on v2 so that you can sell off Running purchased on the Characteristics tab, but there will need to be a lot of work done on that to ensure that it is correct....it's not just a matter of making sure that the total is >= 0, you also have to deal with Modifiers (If you buy Running with Limitations, you should not get the full cost back if you then sell it off.

Chances are that it's going to simply be too complex/confusing for the end user and the behavior will remain the way it is now: not allowing a negative value for Running.

1.) It would kind of defeat the purpose of creating 1 prefab for all the Race Packages in FH. Your method would require me to create 1 character setup for each race. I wouldn't like to have to do it that way.

2.) Who would put an Advantage or limitation on Negative running. You would sell your base running off then buy the Power and add the limitations to the power. It should not affect the points you get for selling off the base running.

3. If your not going to change it then let us know so we can do a work around on you r product.

It's not a matter of putting a Modifier on negative Running...

Let's say that you have 6" of Running on the Characteristics tab. You then go to the Powers tab and buy +6" Running, Increased END (x2 END), and select to have the Modifiers apply to the base Characteristics. So you end up with 12" of Running at x2 END.

You've gotten points "back" for putting x2 END on your base Running.

Now you go and purchase negative Running. You'd be getting points back (unmodified) for the Negative running....even though you didn't pay full price for the Running that you're selling off.

That's a very simple example....there are many constructs that you can come up with where it becomes even less clear what is going on.

The idea simply doesn't work in practice. There's no way to ensure that the rules are being followed....which is why you cannot purchase negative Running currently.

I don't see this changing anytime in the foreseeable future.
