Say, Steve, this question recently came up on another thread, and since it involves a reasonable SFX for a power I wondered how it would be adjudicated:

According to p. 85 of 5E, if you want a Sense-Affecting Power to only affect one or two senses in a Sense Group you buy it with a -1/4 Limitation. So, for example, if you have a character with a very low body temperature who doesn't show up on Infrared Perception (Sight), you'd buy Invisibility with that Lim.

What if you want your cold character to be Invisible to just to Infrared Perception whatever the Sense Group it's part of? Like Touch (feeling emitted heat) or Special (a detecting device like a Star Trek tricorder)? Would you have to buy Limited Invisibility for every Sense Group involved, or is there another (hopefully cheaper) way to approach it?

As always, thanks for listening. :)

Assuming the GM was willing to go for it, I don't see any reason why you couldn't pay the cost for a Targeting Sense Group and define it as "all iterations of a particular Sense, regardless of Sense Group."

I have it in my head that I mentioned this somewhere in the past, but I can't remember where. Maybe it was just something I thought of squirreling away in a book somewheres. ;)
