I can be pretty oblivious so it may have been there for awhile, but I just noticed the little clock counting down in the corner of the main page with the title "meanwhile..." over it. Anybody know what that is for? The date would be July 27 when the clock strikes zeros.

Comic-Con is that weekend. The 27th is the final day of the Con. Maybe they are announcing/releasing a Champions Online MMO comic-book? :celebrate

Of course, it could be action figures. It could be a Heroclix-type game. It could be a collectable card game. But my bet would be a comic.

After hunting around the boards, it seems most people think Cryptic has landed the Star Trek license and will be doing that MMO next. Only time will tell.

I'm not sure how well a star trek mmo would work. I mean it is not as if there is a large chunk of the mythos based around ground combat.

Since they have used a Star Trek Online picture done by Perpetual Enterainment, previously, the clue was quite obvious. But it could have been devious too :)
Seems the trekmovie.com site also announced it more or less formally some times ago.

Anyway... it's Star Trek Online.
