Ok so far I like this one best

He worries me somehow. It's like giving the Trickster access to Batman's fortune and Lex Luthor's ego. Though his presence could make things very interesting......

Is it just me or does he look more -- cartoonish than the others?

Of course he looks cartoonish... He's FOXBAT!!

Best of the bunch so far.

Dead on with the character writing I think.
And the art is, imo, staying true.

The face is a bit too Zoltar for me (Battle of the Planets / Gatchaman) but overall I like the way Foxbat has been handled. Hopefully he'll be absolutely bonkers in the game itself - superhero games need a bit of silliness now and then.

I'm glad to see both that Cryptic Studios is giving us the classic Foxbat essentially unmodified, and that the response to the character by the Champions Online community on their forums has been overwhelmingly positive.

I when I read his origin, I "heard" it in Bruce Campbell's voice. I'd never considered using The Bruce for Foxbat, but now it seems like a no-brainer.

Dang. I'm unfortunately getting resigned to hating the art.

I can't help it but I heard the voice of Batmanuel from the TV series for the Tick.

Funny, when I read it, I was hearing Patrick Warburton's voice. Must've been from that Tick comment....

Wonder if the person who wrote the Foxbat description wrote the City of Villains Vernon Von Grun (http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Vernon_von_Grun)

Genius! Laugh with me!

NYAH - HAH - HAH - HAH - HAH - HAH!

That mission arc is my favorite read.

1) Is there any indication that Freddy Furshlugginer---excuse me, Freddy Foswell---will actually be shown as the bumbling loon we all know and---well, we all know? Or is he going to be done with all the ability he thinks he has?

2) What happened to the "he thinks he's in a comic book" bit?

3) Where's the Centipedemobile?

Heh, even before I read the background, I took one look at the artwork and thought to myself, "as played by Bruce Campbell."

It's the chin, baby. :eg:

That's one of the most common spelling errors I see in manuscripts submitted to me for editing. ;) The curse of the homonym strikes again! ::cue dramatic theme music::

Hey, some people just have small hands.... ;)

(But really, I've seen worse, and from people who should know better. I'm still amazed at people who discuss the "Fifth Addition" of the rulebook, even though the word "Edition" is right on the front.)

Yes, you can allow it for a short time, but after that the homonym period is over...

Ouch. Nice to see that even in this age of Internet-baby-speak and seemingly-irrelevant grammar and spelling rules that the simple pun still thrives ^_^

The Pseudonym! One problem, as I should have noticed before. It's not a homonym. Homonyms are spelled identically. Words that are pronounced identically (or nearly so) but spelled differently are homophones.

(Which suddenly sounds to me like a politically incorrect answering service for the GLBT community... probably set up by Foxbat himself as part of his Master Plan.)

Yes, sadly, apparently 1.6 billiion Chinese people can't get a few Champions Online promotional ping-pong ball guns ready in time for GenCon due to the stupid-ass Olympics. However, I am told they will be ready in time for PAX. Our hope is to get a dozen or so sent to us, which we can then somehow give away to Hero board folx via a raffle or something.

I think the artist who did the first two needs to learn what a human head is shaped like. =)

Other than that, seems pretty spot on. Can't wait to see the CG of him.
