Regarding Email Notifications & Subscriptions

In regards to email notifications for new posts in threads to which I am subscribed, will setting the 'UserCP' option to "No email notification" affect all current subscriptions or merely change the default setting?

If the answer is the latter (i.e. all current subscriptions still have email notification attached), is there a way to reset that particular setting?

It changes the default setting. To change existing subscriptions, go to UserCP -> List Subscriptions.
