OK, let's hope this question isn't quite as stupid as my previous one. :rolleyes:

Does the fact that Automatons are immune to Mental Powers rule out the possibility of the means of control being a Mind Link? (Believe it or not, there's a reasonable SFX for this; the Automaton is actually a complex form of hologram projected by a sapient robot, run as a subprocess. And yes, I tried Images first, but it couldn't quite be bent into shape...) -- Pteryx

If the GM's willing, you can always give the Automaton a Physical Limitation making it vulnerable to Mental Powers -- the undead and robots in the Bestiary have that, for example. But of course, that means the Automaton is vulnerable to other peoples' Mental Powers as well.

If you buy the Automaton as a Follower, or an Amicable Summoned creature, with the GM's permission you could define "mental link" as the special effect of your means of communicating with and controlling it.
